We developed an automatic blister sealer for a customer who was keen to save space, wanted more automation, and wanted a validated process. They chose to have the filled blisters placed manually in the sealing jibs, after which the machine automatically places a lid on top and seals it. The seal, lid and product are checked and then placed onto a conveyor belt.
To automate the process, we used our LAP-L modules. We’ve developed our machine platform, the LAP-L, to fill and assemble medium-sized to large quantities of blisters, boxes, medical and pharmaceutical products. The platform uses linear transport and is scalable with segments of 1,200 mm or 1,800 mm with a standardized interface.
We add the customer's desired processes using docking stations and functional modules within segments. These (interchangeable) docking stations make the LAP-L adaptable and flexible, allowing you to make future upgrades or modifications easily.
The machine can be lowered for transport, and segments can be detached: it will fit through a standard size door. Its E-cabinets are located at the top of the machine, making maintenance easier and allowing us to use the floor space of the (clean) room as effectively as possible.
There are LED panels above each docking station. These provide adequate functional lighting and serve as signal columns: the panels can indicate a station’s status using a color code. Easily check if doors are closed properly or if you need to refill something.
